FAQ

Do I need a consultation before booking a treatment?

Yes all new clients at Illumia begin with a consultation. This gives Lauren the chance to truly understand your skin, your history, and your goals before any treatment takes place. It's not a formality, it's the foundation of every great result. You can book a standalone consultation or a consultation + treatment in the same session.

Absolutely. Lauren offers virtual skin consultations for clients who aren't local to Southlake and for anyone who wants personalized skincare guidance from the comfort of their home. Virtual consultations include a full skin assessment, a customized product routine, and Lauren's expert recommendations tailored to your specific concerns.

Lauren specializes in DMK Enzyme Therapy, the Face Reality Acne Bootcamp, and a full menu of advanced skin revision treatments including BioRePeel, liquid microneedling, Procell microchanneling, and the Glow2Facial (Red Carpet Facial).

Yes, and this is exactly what Lauren does best. As a Face Reality Certified Acne Expert, she works with clients who have tried everything and are ready for a real plan. The Face Reality Acne Bootcamp is a structured, proven program that addresses the root cause of your breakouts not just the symptoms. Many clients begin to see meaningful results within a few weeks.

Congratulations! Yes, there are treatments we can safely offer during pregnancy however, certain actives and protocols are not recommended while you're expecting. When booking, please let Lauren know you're pregnant so she can tailor your treatment accordingly. Your safety and your baby's are always the priority, and Lauren will make sure every step of your visit reflects that.

As much as we love your little ones, Illumia is designed to be your sanctuary, a space to fully decompress and detach from the world for a little while. To protect that experience for you and other guests, we ask that children not accompany clients to appointments.

While you're never required to purchase products through Illumia, Lauren's honest answer is this: your homecare routine is half the treatment. The products she carries are hand-selected to extend and protect your in-office results. Without the right support at home, even the best treatments have a ceiling. Lauren will always recommend what she genuinely believes your skin needs, and she'll never push anything that isn't right for you.

We recommend waiting at least two weeks after Botox or filler injections before booking a facial. This gives your skin time to fully settle and ensures your results aren't compromised.

We want you to arrive ready to relax and get the most out of your session. A few things to keep in mind:

  • Come with a clean face if possible
  • Avoid retinol, exfoliants, or any active ingredients for 24–48 hours before your appointment
  • Let Lauren know about any new products, medications, or skin changes since your last visit
  • Arrive a few minutes early so you can decompress before your treatment begins
